Rochester Waterski Show brings home plenty of iron from 2009 Mid-West Regionals competition at Waterhawks Eagle Lake ski site.
The team had a fantastic weekend in Iowa. On a sunny but very windy Saturday 25th July, skiing last was a good thing. The wind died a little and helped helped the team to a 5th place in Division 1. But this is only part of the great news.
Ballet Line skied themselves into 1st place again, but that wasn't the all, they also skied the highest scoring act in the tournament. RWS Ballet line have been champions three times in the past four years.
But that was not all the hardware…..
Bruce and Alisha's Doubles competition routine took them into first place in the competition and off to Nationals as top seeds for our region.
Swivel was another high placement for Rochester competitors. Madilyn Schmitz earning 2nd place in only her second Regional competition. Madilyn was only 0.17 pts behind first place. Tracy Basse took 5th place and Kindra Walstad took 6th place.
Last but certainly no least was our Jump Team. Matt Hoeft lead the team to a 3rd place. This is probably the highest we have ever achieved in the Team Jump competition. The 7 Yahoo's and one old Guy team jumped flawlessly.
This is a huge achievement for the Rochester Waterski Show Team.
